Highlighted industries are sectors that drive economic growth, innovation, and job creation. They often involve cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions.
IS 302 (Part 2 / Section 4): 1993, with IS 302 (Part 1), provides the safety standards on spin extractors that are certified by BIS. They are common in food processing plants, pharmaceutical plants, and other areas to extract oil, juice, or other extracts at a high speed, guaranteeing efficiency and consistency in yield
Spin extractors are in demand, especially as the speed of processing and performance become important. These products cannot be put on the Indian market unless they receive the BIS approval. The ISI mark denotes that the manufacturer is adhering to the recommended safety standards, and this is of great significance both in domestic sales as well as imports and exports

This standard applies to electric spin extractors having a dry load capacity of up to 5 kg and a peripheral speed not exceeding 50 m/s, operating at a rated voltage not above 250 V.
It covers spin extractors used as standalone units, those fitted within washing machines, and units installed for common use in residential complexes or small shared laundry areas. Commercial laundries, which are large, are not included. There are other requirements that apply to machines that should be used on ships, vehicles, or aircraft.
